Often people wonder How we ended up as “A Pear of Potters” and who does what. We actually started taking pottery courses in Winnipeg over 40 years ago and became fascinated with the media. Since then we have both taken many courses and workshops to acquire our present expertise.
Each of us has our own distinct style and preferences as to what we like to make and we sometimes even work on each-other’s pieces. Pat is drawn to functional ware with a flare and finding the perfect balance between form and function. “Food should be served in a piece of art”. Ron is on a continual journey creating the perfect mug or wine cup experimenting with glazes that compliment our work.
Our pottery is stoneware fired in electric and gas kilns and is safe as dinnerware and can be used in the microwave or oven. Our glazes are food safe.
